Which service do I need?

Six services, and most people are choosing between two of them. The short version: if you want something drawn for you, that is custom. If you want something today off the wall, that is flash. If there is already a tattoo in the way, it is a cover-up or a rework depending on whether the old design is worth keeping.

  • Custom tattoos — an original piece designed around your idea, your body and your placement.
  • Flash tattoos — pre-drawn designs by our own artists, priced up front and available to walk-ins.
  • Cover-up tattoos — a new design built to hide or absorb an existing tattoo you no longer want.
  • Tattoo rework — keeping the tattoo you have and restoring the lines, colour and contrast.
  • Scar cover-ups — restorative work over surgical, burn, self-harm and stretch-mark scarring.
  • Tattoo design — the artwork on its own, delivered as files, whether or not we tattoo it.

How booking works, whatever you choose

Everything except walk-in flash starts with a free consultation in the studio at Taringa. You tell us the idea, we work out placement and size, and you get a real quote before you commit to anything.

A deposit of $50–$100 secures your appointment and comes off the final price. Bring photo ID on the day — the studio is strictly 18 and over, with no exceptions for parental consent.

Not sure which one to book?

Book a consultation and say so. Half the job of a first appointment is working out what you actually need — plenty of people arrive asking for a cover-up and leave booked for a rework that costs them less, or arrive wanting flash and leave with a custom design that fits them properly.
